Dear Member,
This is the only newsletter I will send from your website. Now that your site approaches its completion, I wanted to send you an example of a newsletter from your site as my last contact directly with you.
Newsletter Creation. This HTML newsletter is created from a newsletter template on your site. You may create all the new templates you like. I chose this one because of the right column of boxes, used for links to important information on the site.
Registration. Owners and Tenants are encouraged to Register right away. Registration opens up new portions of the site that are not visible to those not Registered. This layered permission system allows Board Members to view and use Board sections of the site. Management has Board permissions plus the ability to monitor Users, but the site is monitored and run by the Board of Directors.
Password. Once everyone in the association is registered, a password will be added to the registration process to lock out any new registrants. The password will be added in September, obtained via Contact Us. All Board Members' logins and passwords have been setup and will be sent today by email or snail mail. Send any changes to the admin.
Involvement. Board Members set the tone for the community. Commit to visiting the site on a regular basis and adding your comments, articles and blog posts to the wisdom offered. When the community sees you here, they will follow. Encourage your neighbors to visit the site and contribute. Talk about the site when you see your neighbors. An active community creates a vibrant website.
Site Control. Now that your site is nearly complete, our presence will become less visible. You will not need us to post to your site or make changes. You, the Owners in your community, control the site and build it from here. We are here when you need us, providing daily backups, monitoring your site and installing upgrades as new stable versions are released, free.
Upgrade. A new upgrade to TikiWiki 2.0 is expected soon that holds many new features, all free. The beauty of open source technology is that you never have to pay for upgrades. Enjoy your site and let us know if you need anything.
Cordially,
